The Gates will adorn 23 miles of Central Park’s walkways for 16 days until February 27, giving New Yorkers and art lovers from around the world a chance to experience outstanding public art on a monumental scale.

While the time to experience The Gates is fleeting, we thank Christo and Jeanne-Claude for their 26 years of persistence, planning and passion. As well, we thank them for their gift of a royalty-free license to support Nurture New York’s Nature (NNYN), a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to creating public awareness of the importance of nurturing New York’s nature for the health and well being of the City’s inhabitants.
